Surburban serendipity

A good moment while waiting for takeaway coffees this morning. I made a comment that I liked the art hanging on the wall of the café. The woman sitting at the table right underneath the framed pictures (Sarah, as we found out shortly afterwards) looked up and said, actually those are mine!
We (me, my partner and Sarah) had a nice little chat about the art - digital paintings capturing the familiar colours and shapes of neighbourhoods in suburban Melbourne. They feature some of my favourite things, like railways, post boxes and buses.
And then about our respective creative hobbies. For me, that means my current project of knitting a pair of footy shorts, about which I will go into in more detail later.
Sarah's art is on Etsy and Instagram (@sarah.gleeson.creative).
